Welcome

September 4, 2014
Dear Student and Parents/Guardians,
Assalamu Alaikom Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
I hope you’ve had a prosperous summer, Ramadan and Eid. My name is Dina Zaazaa and I will be your child’s homeroom teacher for the 2014-2015 school year. I will be teaching Math, Science, Islamic Studies, Art, and Health/Gym. I want to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into my classroom. Although this will be my second year working at Abraar School, I do have more than ten years of teaching experience and I have no doubt that my work with the Abraar community will enrich this experience even more.
My philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and each child learns in a different way. One of my jobs as a teacher is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside with him/her to maximize it. I believe in hands-on experiences and learning creatively. It is my goal to create a community of learners who are committed to working hard and having fun. I want students to leave my classroom feeling confident that they can apply what they’ve learned in school to real-life situations. I want my students to feel challenged and to have an enhanced passion for learning.
It is important that my students know they can seek my assistance in any matter they find difficulty with; they need to know I am there for them. Collaboration, cooperation, and open communication between home and school are keys to building a strong foundation for a successful school year.  Please feel free to contact me at anytime. I can be reached through the school phone number 613-226-1396 or by email at dzaazaa@abraarschool.com . I am always happy to talk to the families of my students.
Sincerely,

Dina Zaazaa
